GOODBYE CANNES

The Cannes Yachting Festival is great! The Multi Hull Show in La Grande Motte is probably a bit better, as only multihulls are shown. Nevertheless, we have seen many ships, most of which did not fit our requirements:

  1. Bali Catamarans, the Bali 4.5

  2. Lagoon 42 and Lagoon 46

  3. Leopard 42

  4. Outremer 45

  5. Privilege 510 Signature und 580

and also some who would have actually fit, but in the end dropped out of our list of candidates for various reasons. You can read the 3 candidates who came closest to the matter superficially on the previous pages.

In conclusion, I recommend that anyone who is thinking about buying a boat take the time to look at the options on the market at their leisure. My suggestion would be to also look at the ships that don't fit into the loot scheme at first glance. Because even with them you can certainly gather ideas and see things that might become important on your own yacht.

Every ship that comes into question to sail is also difficult and requires a lot of time and, above all, money. But I definitely recommend it from my point of view. It doesn't have to be the exact boat that you want to buy, but it has to be from about the same time (year of construction) and of course from the same manufacturer. Example, we were traveling with a Lagoon 42. For us, only a 46 would come into question, but the week-long trip was valuable because we could at least see the quality "in operation". More test trips to follow.

With this in mind, happy searching and stay tuned to see how we continue.
