TANNA 47 - FOUNTAINE PAJOT
SUMMARY
Actually a cheek, if I may put it so casually. The name TANNA 47 implies that the yacht is 47 feet long, i.e. around 14.3m. Far from it, the boat is only 45.7 feet long, so approx. 13.9m. This would actually put her in the Lagoon 46, Seawind 1360, Bali 4.5, Nautitech Open 46 region. Be that as it may, in the end other arguments play an important role for everyone.
Tanna is very similar to Elba. Since the Elba 45 does not measure 45 feet but only 44.1 feet, the Tanna is a good 1.6 feet longer, which is almost exactly 0.5m. You hardly feel it on deck or in the cockpit, but you do in the hulls. Everything feels a little more spacious. And the saloon and pantry, which is built in a U-shape in the Tanna 47 (indicatively), feel a lot more spacious too.
Visually and from a feel-good point of view, the Tanna 47 would have been a real purchase option if...
SAFETY
Since the TANNA 47 comes from the same company as the Elba, there are no significant differences in terms of safety. The ships are almost the same, at least as far as I can tell.
QUALITY - DURABILITY
As with safety, there are hardly any differences in quality. What the cork was on the Elba 45 is a loose shoulder strip on the Tanna 47. Keep in mind the ship is new and as far as I know was only transferred from La Rochelle to Cannes.
Unfortunately, I can no longer find the picture, but the glued edge was loosened by approx. 1m from a total of 3m. That's not possible, especially not when the ship is at a trade fair.
